Quite possibly my favourite movie of last year Richard Linklater's Hitman is like a throwback to 1930/40s screwball comedies and it works. Like a lot of screwball, Linklater nails the gender issues in a subtle way. Glen Powel's bland, likable everyman character becomes a screen reflecting a fantasy of the other, as he alters each hit man persona to fit the desires of the client. Funny, sexy and smart. I want to marry this movie.
